Education Development Program – ED Program
Education is essential to economic development. Citizens who can read, calculate, and think critically have better economic opportunities, higher agricultural productivity, healthier children, and better reproductive health. Fundamental educational skills form the basis for all future learning, but today too many students across the developing world— particularly the poorest—are missing out. The Stanley Jegede Foundation Education Development Program, working in a unique partnership with established global foundation creates targeted activities to be of great support to different educational institutions. Activities like full and partial scholarships, institutional project like school construction, donation of educational materials, educational tours and trips and open forum for Q and A are part of the needs that SJF provides in support major global educational initiatives.
Global Health Advocacy and Wellness Program – GHAW Program
In response to a growing global awareness of the need for local ownership and stewardship of health initiatives in Africa and the global world, the Stanley Jegede Foundation (SJF) is dedicated to promoting wellness, health, and access to high-quality health care for those in need, while supporting the global health community. Working closely with governments and other partners, we aim to strengthen in-country health systems and improve global markets for medicines and diagnostics – ensuring lifesaving treatments and care can reach the people who need them the most. Our goal is to advance collaboration among these important organizations, we host summits, advocacy conferences and programs to bring together experts and discuss best practices and explore ways to join forces in addressing strategic challenges to improve health around the world.
Emergency Relief Program – ER Program
As our community continues to experience unprecedented economic challenges, the number of people requesting assistance from our region’s human service agencies is increasing. Unemployment and rising prices have driven many people to the brink with nowhere else to turn. Through our emergency relief program, we respond promptly to the needs of individuals in identified struggling communities by providing them with the basic necessities of life to include food, clothing, shelter and relief funds. With the global rise in poverty and increase need for assistance by undeserved communities around us, Stanley Jegede Foundation has embarked on this initiative to fight poverty through a formidable network and partnerships with other global emergency relief organizations.
Arts and Cultural Heritage Program – ACH Program
The Stanley Jegede Arts and Cultural Heritage program seeks to nurture exceptional creative accomplishment, scholarship, and conservation practices in the arts, while promoting a diverse and sustainable ecosystem for these disciplines. The program supports the work of outstanding artists, curators, conservators, and scholars, and endeavors to strengthen performing arts organizations, art museums, research institutes, and conservation centers. Alongside our continued commitments to exemplary programs in the performing arts, art history, and conservation, new areas and strengthened emphases include:
Programs that strengthen the creation and preservation of, as well as scholarship about, new media and multidisciplinary arts
Initiatives that broaden public access to and understanding of the arts
Research, training, and recruitment programs that enhance diversity and inclusion in arts organizations
Collaborations between institutions of higher education and the arts
Efforts to address vulnerabilities distinctive to the arts, such as the financial health of small arts organizations and emergency preparedness and response
